  7.     Talk about faith in the future. Remember the baby boom?
  8. That started when America's fighting men returned from World
  9. War II. Now, eight months after the first soldiers, sailors and
  10. airmen returned victorious from OpDesert Storm, military bases
  11. from San Diego to North Carolina are bracing for their own baby
  12. boomlet. Since the troops got home, positive pregtests have
  13. tripled at Fort Hood, Texas, and Fort Bragg, North Carolina. The
  14. expectant mothers include Desert Storm vets -- five of the six
  15. women in one unit. In San Diego 318 Marine wives have been sent
  16. to community hospitals for prenatal care because the docs at
  17. Camp Pendleton are swamped. Doctors at Fort Stewart, Georgia,
  18. expect to deliver 40 babies on Christmas -- three times the
  19. busiest day in memory. No more silent nights for those folks.
